High Performance Radar Exciters
Nanowave Technologies manufactures a series of narrowband tunable sources compliant with MIL-STD 883 and rated for ingress protection level 67. Targeted for high resolution S, C and X band Doppler weather RADAR these sources offer coherency over 10Hz to 1MHz integration bandwidth of -64dBc at C band. Automated spurious test at 1MHz frequency step guarantees a maximum spurious of -60dBc at all frequency settings over operational bandwidths to 250MHz. DDS based control enables frequency switching speeds of below 200ns and in combination with the on board processor allow user defined source modulation. Use of low g-sensitivity 0.3ppb/g oven controlled crystal internal reference ensures close in phase noise below -70dBc/Hz at 10Hz and operational temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C . The robust high reliability design based around Nanowaves proprietary HMIC process make the narrowband tunable sources the right choice for high specification, harsh environment marine or terrestrial deployments.
